My name is Sarah, and I became interested in Meditation when I realized how calming it was in my yoga practice. In a thirst for more inner peace and calm, I began to explore more modalities.
I began my Reiki training in the Usui lineage in 2018. I belive it was my enthusiasm about energy healing, chakras and the law of attraction fueled this training.
I quickly learned that my health journey was a pathway into a purpose of helping others to heal.
My practice specializes in helping clients with headaches, backpain, anxiety, depression, eating disorders and other health conditions.
What to Expect
In some ways, there is no typical Reiki session. Reiki is received differently by everyone. One thing that I do know is that moments of touch from a Reiki-trained practitioner can bring comfort in an acute or emergency situation, such as the onset of the flu, or after an injury or surgery.
This is a description of what I have come to expect from someone who has visited my Reiki Practice.
I offer a quiet setting where you are not disturbed. As a professional Reiki practitioner, I have a dedicated space where I create that space of peace and calm. I usually play soft music during the session, but please let me know if you prefer silence.
A complete Reiki session is offered to a fully clothed recipient who is lying on a treatment table.
Reiki is offered through light, non-invasive touch with the practitioner's hands placed and held on a series of locations on the head and front and back of the torso. The placement of the hands should never be intrusive or inappropriate, nor should there be any pressure.
The experience of Reiki is subjective, changeable, and sometimes very subtle. People often experience heat in my hands, but sometimes my hands feel refreshingly cool.
People often comment how comforting they find the experience of Reiki to be. The most common experience is an almost immediate release of stress and a feeling of deep relaxation.
After the Session
Do not expect a diagnosis, as that is not part of Reiki. I do recommend that you drink water and following your body's needs.
Although people typically leave a Reiki session feeling refreshed, sometimes they notice feeling more tired in the evening than usual. This is not viewed as an adverse reaction, but rather as the body's natural healing response, something to be heeded. People commonly report a sense of calm and mental clarity and sleeping well after Reiki.
We will have a short conversation before we begin the distant energy healing. The healing will include a scan of body to see where where you are as well as a scan and centering of the energy chakras. We will have a short conversation after to see what came up and next steps for you. The distance session will be via phone or zoom.
