Emotional Hunger
and Eating Disorders

"Please eat that cake!"

says a voice inside us.

"Are you joking?"

says another voice

"You're on a diet! If you don't stop eating you'll become huge"

The eternal battle between the emotional part and the logical part of our mind...

Unless we change our EMOTIONS, diets cannot work.

Approximately 80-95% of dieters regain the same weight they lost in the following months, if not more.

Nature has programmed us to stock up on food, so emotion will always win over LOGIC.

...unless we change those EMOTIONS.

EMOTIONAL HUNGER is our attempt to manage emotions through food.

Instead of eating in response to the physical need to nourish ourselves, we eat in response to emotions that rush through us with all their force.

Eating disorders such as ANOREXIA and BULIMIA are also triggered by emotional issues and warn us that something is wrong in our life.

ANOREXIA gives a person the illusion to finally be more beautiful, clever, efficient and appreciated by others.

If BULIMIA could speak it would say "I am here to protect you" from all the things that might happen to you if you don't eat enough.

All these issues have nothing to do with Food and everything to do with non-existent or incorrect management of emotions.

Forcing oneself to eat more or eat less is of no use if we actually want to solve the problem.

RTT, addressing the emotional root of food-related problems, offers an effective and long-lasting solutions.
